Who is Ed Smith?
As
an avid chess player and successful businessman, Ed Smith's been making the
right moves his entire life, especially in business. Ed began his business
ventures as a boy, starting simply by sweeping out barbershops for 25 cents a
day. At the same time he mowed numerous yards per week and built up his paper
route from a fifty household delivery to an enormous seven hundred household
route. Using the money he had earned through these successful ventures, Ed made
his first real estate investment when he was in the seventh grade, perhaps
foreshadowing his future.
Later, Ed sold that real estate investment and continued to
work throughout high school and college as he earned his degree in accounting
from Marshall University. Although he enjoyed his accounting experience, he
came back to his true love, real estate. What was originally a part-time
pursuit grew to a full-time passion.
Ed
began his adult real estate career when he ventured into commercial real
estate development. He conceptualized, developed and managed multiple retail
stores, all in major regional shopping centers. His real estate business
matured and intensified as he ventured into single and multi-family residential
development in Virginia and North Carolina. Today, that professionalism and
dedication has been taken to the next level with Ed starting and owning his
real estate firm, Re/Max Valley Realtors.
Ed's
real estate experience is comprehensive. He brings to his clients a vast
experience in financing, building, managing and selling all facets of real
estate. Simply said, no one does it better. Ed's long-standing
reputation as one of the industry's best is well deserved.
